Biography

Dr. Pilar Fernández Eire has been an Attending Physician in the Pediatric Surgery Department since 1993 and is currently a Medical Doctor at Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Pediatric Surgery (1995–present). She earned an MD degree from Santiago de Compostela University and completed their Pediatric Surgery specialty at La Paz Hospital in Madrid. She is also certified by the European Board of Pediatric Surgery. Over the years, she directed eight final degree projects in the field and served as the Director of the Surgical Skills Course-Workshop in Minor Pediatric Outpatient Surgery in 2012, 2013, and 2017.

In addition to her clinical role, she serves as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Santiago de Compostela University, share their expertise with future medical professionals. With decades of experience and a strong commitment to education, she continues to make significant contributions to pediatric surgery.
