Biography

Ricardo V Garcia Mayor worked as a Resident physician in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Nutrition from University Clinic, Navarra University, Pamplona, Spain from 1971 to 1974. He worked as a Staff member for Internal Medicine Department, 1976-1985, and as Head of the Endocrinology and Nutrition Department, 1986-2012 at the University Hospital of Vigo. Vigo, Spain. His work as Consultant Specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition Unit HM hospital of Vigo and as Senior Research in the South Galicia Heath Research Institute, Vigo, Spain. He serves as Full Professor of Biochemistry, Nursery School, University of Vigo, Spain From 2006-2012, and Professor in the Nutrition Master, Interuniversity Master, Vigo University and Santiago de Compostela University during 2009-2014. He was Vice-President of Spanish Diabetes Association from 1998-2002,  the President of Spanish Diabetes Federation 2007-2010 and President of the Research Bioethical Committee of Galicia, Spain 2004-2008. He is Vice-President of Luso-Galaica Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolism Association, since 2009.
