Abstract
The field of statistics has witnessed an immense growth in the number of publications over the last few decades. The use of bibliometric and meta-analytic approaches in research is crucial to understanding the evolution, trends, and impacts of statistical knowledge. Bibliometrics involves the analysis of the written and cited works, while meta-analysis consolidates findings from multiple studies to derive generalized conclusions. This article presents a detailed examination of these approaches within the context of statistical research, reviewing relevant studies, methodologies, and applications. Key bibliometric indicators such as citation counts, impact factors, and co-authorship networks are explored, along with the integration of meta-analysis in the field of statistical methodology and applications.
