Biography

Dr. Masoud Mohammadnezhad is an Senior Lecturer of Health Research at Birmingham City University (BCU), UK. He also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Mahidol University in Thailand and Visiting Professor at Daffodil International University (DIU) in Bangladesh. He earned his PhD in Public Health from Flinders University in Australia. Dr. Mohammadnezhad’s research focuses on the behavioral factors and social determinants associated with both non-communicable and communicable diseases. He is particularly interested in developing and implementing health education and awareness programs. He has a strong record of supervising research students and conducting research, having supervised 20 PhD students and 200 master’s students in Public Health, Nursing, Applied Epidemiology, Health Services Management, and Primary Health Care. Over the past 8 years, he has had the opportunity to present more than 70 papers in over 10 countries. He was also awarded the Best Achiever Award by the Vice Chancellor of Bradford University. Dr. Mohammadnezhad has led 15 projects funded by international grant organizations, including the WHO, UNICEF, and IPPF. He has published more than 200 articles in leading international journals. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Mohammadnezhad is actively engaged in professional and university service. He has served as Head of Department, Professional Lead of Public Health, Line Manager of Nursing, Chairman of the School Research Committee, and a member of several ethics committees. As a member of various international public health associations, he provides leadership and support at the global level.
