Biography

prof. Laura de Palma is an expert in plant ecophysiology, growing under plastic covers, research and teaching in fruitculture and viticulture. After earning a master's degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Bari (Italy), she obtained several post-graduate specializations and carried out internships at international institutions. She is a full professor at the University of Foggia since 2005, with has teaching positions at the University of Foggia and at the University of Turin (Italy). She has conducted extensive research at national, regional and local levels, is active in technology transfer to farm and other stakeholders, and has published more than 100 scientific notes in journals and conference proceedings. She is the author/co-author of numerous invited talks at international, national and local including conferences. Her research focuses mainly on the innovation of fruit growing techniques including precision agriculture applications, on the development, quality and nutritional value of fruits and and grapes even post-harvest, on plant stress, and on the enhancement of biodiversity of woody fruit species.
