Abstract

Carotid pseudoaneurysm is a statistically low probability pathology, but when it occurs it can even cause the patient's death, especially due to its complications (rupture, thrombosis and/or embolization). The main cause is iatrogenic, due to percutaneous catheterization for placement of a central line in the neck vessels. We present through a clinical case the importance of percutaneous treatment guided by echo-Doppler.
